Partner wants a rooster... I'm not so sure

So we've had our girls about 2.5 years, I didn't want them either but honestly I am far more attached than he is, they know their names, they come when they're called, and they have amazing and really distinct personalities.

We have been talking about getting more, but now he's decided he wants a rooster. I don't think I do....

I don't want a chicken army as a result of chicks.

I don't know what we'd do with baby boy chickens.

I feel like there's a lot of additional work that's going to come from this.

On the other hand this baby rooster might be culled if we don't take him (and I'm a soft touch vego), but I also know that we'll have the same problem with baby boys if we have chicks being born.

Would really love any insight on whether I'm right to say no, or if there are advantages that I'm somehow overlooking.

Space is no issue.
