What's your relationship with money/spending money?

I have lived paycheck to paycheck ever since forever. I impulsively buy certain things that I "shouldn't" spend money on when I don't have that much in my chequing account- but I can't ever rationalize it properly. Books, for example--I will impulse buy a book and spend the next 3-4 weeks reading it every morning and the amount of joy it brings me is worth so much more than a $30 "price tag". Does anyone relate to this?! (Yet I also struggle with buying things like socks and underwear- even though I "need" it, I can't afford really high quality items that WOULD bring me joy--so I hate spending on 'cheaper' versions. The other week I impulse spent $170 on clothes which is super abnormal for me- but I found some comfortable 100% cotton items that actually fit and was beyond ecstatic. Have worn them everyday since purchasing ;) Also doesn't help that I am a taurus! lol
