When they say "you'll be towed when you leave the area" they really mean it

So I was trying to find the "Dear Austin" coffee shop on South Lamar. I was coming from the south side and my GPS announced "your destination will be on your left". I looked to the left, I could not see it, but I saw a little driveway so I took the turn. I parked and began looking around. I could not see the shop anywhere, but I could see a lot of signs "parking only for retail 2300 South Lamar" (the coffee shop was 2310 but I did not know it at that time). I kept walking and looking for the shop until I reached the sign "you'll be towed/booted when you leav this area". I thought I'd just see if the coffee shop is indeed here, it would not be the first time google would take me to a non-existent coffee shop. I went around the corner found the shop. Mindful of the signs, I doubled back to move my car. Unfortunately the car already had a boot on and I had to pay $100 to take it off.

Thoughts? Everything worked as intended, nobody to blame but myself? Or parking enforcement gone wild?
