Is it legal to post explicit descriptions & non consensual images of sex workers online if no legal names are used?

I’m a sex worker in NSW, and have recently been experiencing some grief with some fellow members in our community over an online reviewing forum that reviews us workers.

In addition to detailed reviews, some users post highly identifying physical descriptions - including nationality, hair colour, height, eye colour, and even breast size. Some sections of the forum contain intimate images of women, which you can tell is taken without their knowledge or consent.

After reaching out to the site admin, they claimed it’s not illegal because no one’s legal name is used and there is no evidence to actually suggest that the person in the photo is the person they are reviewing (as their face isn’t in it). However, I find this incredibly hard to believe.

Many workers are not out to their families or communities, yet these men make it obvious who we are, some even posting detailed descriptions of what our tattoos are. Some will even post details about our movements. Even worse, some posts discuss which workers are “easy to stealth” (removing condoms without consent). This creates serious safety risks—could this be considered incitement of sexual violence or another form of legal misconduct?

Is this illegal and if so, where do I go about reporting it?
