My traffic control employer refuses to fix the AC in work Utes

Hi.

We’ve been doing jobs lately as traffic control where sometimes we’ve to follow a moving plant for few hours, or be out of the vehicle and do pedestrian watch - this is a rough area in the sense where there is no shade to hide from, no loo or toilets in the vicinity , no access to AC during smoko or break ( unless I go to Cole’s and sit there 20 mins to cool down lol ) Complained to my employer Friday ( i had the Ute whole week ) and now we’re Monday i still feel the heat stress and fatigue from last week. I contacted the manager and explained her that it was really rough, she said it is not a priority to fix the AC in Utes, not a legal requirement and is the last thing to be fixed …

Usually TCs ( if directing traffic or on the stop and slow bat ) needs a 15 mins break every 2 hours. Which implies cool the fck down so you don’t get a heat stroke and drink plenty of water. They’ve been really good to me ever since i joined their company but that AC thing is really bad. What’re my options in that case ?
