Who can witness signing?
Hi just a simple question, who can be the witness to an executor signing a will in NSW? My brother and I will be signing our Uncles will shortly and will need our signatures witnessed, his solicitor is insisting he (solicitor) must be the witness. My brothers recently signed my Dads and anyone could witness thier signature as long as they met certain criteria. We live far away so doing it it person is not an option. So is my Uncles solicitor being a dick insisting he face time us to witness the signing or can we do it just as our father's was done? Both were done in NSW so I don't see why it should be different.
Edit there is a medical guardian (us) also included in case he is unable to make his own medical decisions.
