How do girls feel about guys who paint their nails. (Specifically black)

For context I have mine painted black. Im not gay I just do it because my favorite band does it and I thought it looked cool. Most guys in my grade give weird looks but girls actually compliment them. I'm just curious if its a red flag or a green flag or does it not really matter?
