How to tell teachers about another students possible abuse?

I’m not sure I worded my question correctly but I’m in 10th grade and have a friend that is definitely being neglected at home. I want to tell a teacher because I know they’re mandated reporters and will contact social services, which is what I want. How should I bring this up to my teacher? Is there any good way to go about this?
