Micro 4/3rds, a good starting point?

If I were to purchase this: http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/cameras-and-camcorders/digital-cameras/dslr-and-compact-system-cameras/olympus-pen-e-pl6-compact-system-camera-with-14-42-mm-f-3-5-5-6-ii-r-standard-zoom-lens-40-150-mm-f-4-0-5-6-r-telephoto-zoom-lens-10115558-pdt.html

If I later (a fair few years) on decided to upgrade the body to an Olympus om-d e-m1/5/10 (the more DLSR looking ones), am I right to believe my lenses would work on these? (PEN to OM-D compatibility)

...Or if I'm not investing a lot, shall I just stick with a fixed lens? I fear that will mean a huge loss of quality, but of course I want a worthwhile investment - as a student, £349 is even pushing my budget a bit too far!

Yours truly,

Indecisive amateur
