The 80/20 "rule"
Has this been your actual experience? I've seen a LOT of men commenting like this is the norm but I've wondered if this is a media pushed thing?
I asked out a man I was super into about a month ago. When we got on the date he said that he was rarely ever asked out and didn't really get complimented (I called him handsome).
It seemed like it took the first 20 minutes of the date for him to be convinced that I actually WANTED to be there with him, that he was really interesting to me, and that I was having a good time.
I feel like coming back, after being in a long term relationship, like I'm on an alien planet...where I need to say "I come in peace. No, I don't want free dinners, or your kidneys. I actually just like you or think you're great"
Is this what its really like for you?
