How to tell me coworker I want to hookup

I (27F) know that my coworker (he’s in a different department) is interested in me and he just shared that he isn’t talking to anyone at the moment. I’ve been friends with him long enough to where I know this is going to be short lived and I don’t want my window to pass by. How do I approach him and tell him that I want to hook up? I’ve never had these types of interactions because I was with my ex for over 10 years and we got together young so some advice is needed. Do I be direct? Should I send him a text? Ask him face to face?

Every time I see him, I just want to pull him in a closet and fuck. I’m ready for this to finally happen.
