Why does it bother me so much when straight women say stuff like “I wish I was gay, it would be so much easier to date girls”?

It feels insulting (I don’t think they mean it to be) but that’s my gut reaction and I can’t figure out why. Maybe it feels like they are insinuating WLW relationships are not just as complex as het relationships are?
