I feel like my WP knows I won’t leave him

He knows I love him a lot so I won’t probably won’t leave him. Of course he’s not sure yet so he keeps denying as he doesn’t want to lose me yet.

I think maybe when I hear what he has to say when I confront him, then I’ll know exactly what to do.

My question is, if the wayward feels that the betrayed won’t leave them and the betrayed does the R, will it even work? Will they even cherish that the betrayed is giving them a chance?
