Just realized statues are really good references

I had always wondered why using references for the human body always messed me up. But I started finding a lot of references of statues that lined up with what I wanted to draw so yeah, I used it. And it was like magic the way my art kind of improved? Im not sure what about it clicked with me but it just did.
