Damn I suck at this game

I really wanna like this game. They have my fav gun and it’s meta. I want to be able to play it. But damn. The skill gap is real. Any recommendation ? I still feel like I don’t got the game sense locked down. Is this something that I’ll have to learn by knowing span locations and overall map?
