Best way to cycle new tank with ADA Amazonia 2?

Im new to aqua soils and only ever cycled tanks with inert gravel and addded ammonia. This time Im setting up a 70 liter tank using ADA Amazonia (version 2), and Im wondering what peoples opinions are on the best way to cycle it. Dark start? Or planted straight away?
