The consequences of not reading the label on your bag of sand.....

I thought I'd go frugal and use playground sand in this new ten gallon I'm setting up for my betta. She was in my 36, but had to move her into a 6g because of sticking problems. She's since been acting nervous and clustrophobic since she's been in there. She deserves a 10 gallon. Only I obviously did not read the label very closely. This sand is so fine that it almost clouds the water, and will do so every time it's disturbed for cleaning or rearrangement of the tank. I put a 75 gph HOB filter on the tank and ran it all night. Not even that cleared it up all the way. So I'm going to have to put in a more coarse-grained sand. I've learned, lived, and kissed maybe all of $3 bucks goodbye.
