i’m getting tired of r/ nyu removing my posts

I posted “convince me not to go to (college name)” to three college communities to help me make my decision: UW, WSU, and NYU. The posts were getting traction, UW and NYU especially.

The post I made to NYU had 37 replies and had been posted for 3 hours before it was removed for “being related to admissions or applications” and not being part of the related megathread. IT IS NOT RELATED IN THE SLIGHTEST! How does asking a community of students and alumni’s about the downsides of NYU make it related to being admitted or applying there? I could see it if I squint, but people do deserve to know from these people who actually experienced the college.

Most importantly, one look at the megathread they want the post in and there’s only comments by applicants talking about their acceptance, rejections, or questions. Mine wasn’t a question and was also mostly to let students and alumni’s vent about their problems with the school, while also helping others get a sense of the qualms (over 8,000 views on the post as well).

My other two posts are facing no problems. I’m starting to think NYU moderators want to protect their privilege. I messaged them. We’ll see if it gets put back up.

Oh, and the other post that got deleted was a few weeks ago. The post was a poll asking the EDII applicants of their results. It was auto deleted. Makes sense, but a poll like that was allowed for EDI.

I just wanted to get that off my chest. I’m overreacting, but it’s just frustrating and a bit sad
