help me cope with Oxford rejection :(((

I got rejected from Oxford on Tuesday morning and I was absolutely devastated...even though I'm American, Oxford or Cambridge was my dream since I knew that they existed. Even though I got into Georgetown School of Foreign Service, I just can't really accept this loss...I knew it was going to be difficult to get in, I was an American, and we generally have an acceptance rate of 3-5%, and I applied to a hard major, and I didn't have 12 AP exams or what not...But the fact I defied the odds and got to interview stage (80% of oxford applicants are eliminated at this point), and got a high HAT score, higher than the average offer holder, makes it even worse of a rejection, as I was so so close to getting it.

I see many arguments of why Oxford is overrated in its rankings. Can someone of authority or knowledge just give me some copium and tell me why Georgetown would be the better choice any day??? And maybe why Oxford or Cambridge is a great place for postgrad???? I really love international relations and politics and history and I would love to work in a multilateral organization or the Mi-6 (UK diplomacy) or the US Foreign Service...but also I would love to try again at Oxbridge maybe for a Master's or Doctorate degree.
