Intermittent black screen after update 11.1

Since updating to 11.1, I am experiencing an intermittent black screen watch face. When the face is black I can access apps via the crown, I can access the menu by dragging down the face and the side button also works. But the screen is black. After I put my hand down and bring it back up a few times, the screen goes back to normal. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there a fix? TIA! Apple Watch Series 8 45mm

Edit: this issue was resolved for me. I was using the photos watch face. It seems with the new watch OS update? They updated the photos face. You have to use the new one for full functionality. I changed to a different watch face, then when changing back to photos, I was forced to use the new photos watch face.
