Upstairs neighbors keep trying to get into my apartment

A few months ago, my loud upstairs neighbor was playing music until about 4am. I get up at 4am for work. At 1:30am, I banged on the ceiling (I didn’t know at the time that it’s not advisable to do that) but they stomped right back aggressively for about 10 minutes. I texted my property management who gave them a warning the next day, and despite normal annoying sounds, things calmed down.

As a single female living alone, I got a ring camera in case they were pissed at me. Since then, I’ve seen men countless times walk up to my door and try to open it. I think they’re tenants and/or visitors of the unit upstairs who miscounted which floor they were on and thought they were one above me, but it has made me very uneasy. One time was 10:30pm when I was in bed, and this one made me wonder if they were just trying doorknobs. I realized that if I had forgotten to lock my door, I’d just have a strange man in my apartment, and I didn’t sleep the rest of the night.

I need to put a decoration on my door that makes it really obvious that it is not their door. I kind of want something near the door handle that basically says “this is not your apartment” because they just walk straight up and aggressively pull on the handle.

Now that is Halloween time, there are lots of suggestive murdery themes. Is that overkill? I guess I’m both just venting and looking for inspiration for something that says “fuck off this isn’t your home”.
