AmiAmi order to UK

I’m looking to place my first order with AmiAmi for six figures, and just looking for guidance before I do.

The total comes to 40,380 JPY, which is about £210. Plus shipping.

I know that VAT, tax and fees will be applicable on this, and likely to add an additional £65 on top.

I’ve emailed them to ask what the shipping is, but I’m thinking it would make sense to split the order in two (if the shipping rates are reasonable).

As splitting it in two will mean both orders are £105 each. Which is under the £135 threshold for tax.

Would VAT still be due on the items? Or would it be assumed that VAT has already been paid?

Anything else I’ve not considered?
