Neevin Masjid (or the lower masjid) is thought to be the oldest mosque in Lahore.

As per historical accounts, the mosque was built by Zulfiqar Khan who served as the Governor of Lahore Haybat Khan in the 1460s under the Lohdi Dynasty.

Unlike other mosques, Neevin Masjid underwent no change during the Sikh or British rules.
