The gift that keeps on giving

Well I'm married, heterosexual in my 40s. I inherited hemorrhoids and tendency to get fissures from my mother's side of the family. I've had chronic bleeding and constipation on and off for years. I've been to quite a few doctors and none have offered to operate or have given me any advice on how to CURE this. They just say I am not at risk, eat fiber, drink water, and they will go away.

Sith bath, all kinds of medications, etc. etc. Am always afraid that I will get colorectal cancer. I will go to my next colonoscopy and tell them to do anything about it while I am down.

They are not painful anymore. I eat fiber pillls, and that has helped quite a bit. I just can't deal with the stress of seeing blood in the toilet paper. It is really nerve-wracking.

Any advice will be appreciated.
