Took a little time away came back with concerns

Specifically regarding the community. When I left things seemed to be a bit intense but overall the kind of intense that I enjoy immensely. Debate, passionate research, people trying to return to the root of it all. That’s based, that’s baller, that’s fun. I’ve come back and seen some weird shit regarding Neal from GI being “purged” and looking through some comments some very odd reactions to people challenging or questioning what the good doctor says. Tbf idk how much of any of this is downstream from Ammon himself, id like to think none of it is because I see a lot of myself in him and admire him greatly for his academic work and willingness to deep dive on uncomfortable and taboo theological and historical topics, but these things don’t usually materialize on their own either. Basically what I’m trying to get at is, what’s the deal? Is the community moving more towards a dogmatic approach with Ammon being the unquestioned be all end all in regards to all (willingly or unwillingly) or am I just getting a lot of bad press in my face? Any comments appreciated, preferably civil ones lol
