game soft locked :-(

i just want to progress but this lady wont stop staring at the pencil. i know it cannot be that interesting or that hard of a choice, man. i left her there for about 10 minutes while i made food for myself and this lady was STILL stroking her chin
anybody know a solution?

i'm very new to this site so i'm assuming this is the right place to come to for this?? but i'm unsure
