Improving my "tone" with students.
Hey y'all! I would love some advice on improving my tone with students. I work in the education department of a hospital training new hires and absolutely love what I do and rarely get frustrated. I have recently received feedback that sometimes my tone seems as if I'm irritated. I am not trying to come off as mean or irritated and I truly don't feel that way, maybe I'm just not practiced in the art of "sugar coating"? One thing that I think might be a factor is that I have near constant anxiety which is just something I live with and am working to manage but I think it makese a bit jumpy about making corrections even if they are not urgent or serious. What do you suggest I do to come off as more friendly and kind when giving feedback and making corrections to technique? I'd especially love to hear from those with an understanding of neurodivergency but any insight would be helpful.
