Any 17 year olds get annoyed when you're treated like a child yet are expected to act like an "adult"?
I find it oddly extremely infuriating.. My whole life I've had people say that I'm mature beyond my years or some shi, yet when I start getting into more "adulty" stuff to people suddenly go "YOU'RE AN ANNOYING MINOR YOU CAN'T DO THAT MEEEH" & it's like.. Stfu? I'm not an edgy 14 year old.. But then when I act younger people go "DON'T ACT CHILDISH, YOU CAN'T DO THAT IN THE WORKPLACE" so wtf do you want me to do!? Maybe this is my neurodivergent ass thinking in black & white.. But I don't feel like I've gotten more freedom, I feel more trapped. Expected to act older yet not allowed to do older things just yet, it's extremely frustrating knowing that as soon as I turn 18 people will probably switch on me & go "oh you're SOO an adult now even though you just turned 18 like 5 minutes ago" 🥲 I hope I'm not the only one who feels this way.
