Starting college soon: is it worth the 4 year investment?
I'm starting school soon. Community college. I'm sure many of you are aware of the massive uncertainty in today's job market. As well as the questionable value of a college degree in this day and age. So I'm asking, do you think accounting is still a promising major for the next several years? It's still early enough for me to switch gears and learn a trade, etc. I just don't want to waste any time. I'm 31 and I don't want to work retail full time forever. The good thing is, my employer can reimburse a large chunk for a business degree. So there's that. It is still a large time investment, however. What is the accounting job market looking like? And how has your experience been? What do you think I should do? Thanks.
