Apple Store credit issues
Hey friends. Back in October I bought a new phone in the Apple Store and switched to ATT unlimited at the same time. I was told that I would receive a trade in credit of $700 and that would be reflected in my statement in that I would only have to pay $5/month instead of $25/month.
Flash forward 4 billing cycles and I’m still paying the full price, so I contacted ATT who said that they have no proof I did a trade in and was approved for that discount. So I contact Apple, go into the physical store where I bought the phone, and they tell me that for some reason I wasn’t approved for the $700 (even though both from my review and Apple’s review I indeed met all qualifications for it). The store manager was super helpful and said she’d personally contact their connections at AT&T about it, but I’m not confident that ATT will be willing to do anything to help.
Has anyone else ever been in this situation and how did it work out for you?
