AITA in this situation? (He’s my ex now btw!)

So around May, this boy that I used to be friends with, I’ll call him Mark, got bullied so badly, there’s this alleyway around where I live and it’s kinda like a bridge since there’s a lake underneath, Mark got jumped in that alley and was almost thrown over that bridge, he used to be my friend, he’s a really nice boy, and from what I remember he got jumped cause he was gay.

Anyway, when I found this out I burst out crying cause he meant a lot to me, now at the time I was with my ex, I’ll call him Jack, reminder I was 13 he was 15, but I have my birthday in May so I was turning 14, anyway, I told him about the situation, I said “Mark is a really nice boy and doesn’t deserve to get jumped, especially the fact that he had to go to the hospital.”. Jack’s response to this was

“Nice? You think he’s nice? So you like him? You want to fuck him?”. I was so confused, he got mad at me for saying he was a nice boy, he then screenshotted it all, sent it to his friends, first off he doesn’t have fucking friends, second off he told someone on TikTok about the situation that I was cheating on him, the guy himself told him to not let his jealousy get in the way of our relationship.

I ended up telling my mum and dad about this cause the things he was saying to me were horrible, “I fucking hate you” was one that stuck with me, anyway my counsellor told me that he was extremely controlling and emotionally manipulative. I ended it with him literally after that session with my counsellor, anyway, AITA? For calling a boy nice?
