The Hidden Agenda Behind Paragon Buffs: Making Skill Obsolete
Let’s call it what it is. These Paragon buffs are meant to erode skill-based gameplay. Instead of rewarding strategy and smart choices, the game now says, “Congrats, you $pent more, here’s your win.”
It’s not about outplaying your opponent anymore. It’s about hoarding duplicates and picking your highest paragon for PVP.
It ruin balance, it completely guts PvP, and it will create a stale unchanging meta regardless of any new units. The whole point of competitive play is using your brain to overcome challenges, not mindlessly flexing how many units you’ve crammed into Paragon upgrades.
What’s worse is that some people are actually cheering this on, like they’ve forgotten what a game even is. They want to make choice irrelevant. They want certain wins with no $trategy.
Supporting these changes means you’re okay with removing skill-based competition.
If you think the Paragon changes are good for the game (or let's be honest, yourself) spoiler, it isn't. You’re just making PvP dull, predictable, and in a couple months you'll be complaining about fighting the same comps over.
Then since going Paragon is optimal, your only choice with a new unit is to save hundreds of thousands of gems to push it to Paragon so you just start an infinite race to the bottom.
Oh and your celes/hypos have to be Paragon to compete so you either start buying packs or you select 1 to Paragon and you don't get to pull for any others. Congratulations dolphins, become a whale or you're out too.
That's where this leads. Reject all changes to Paragon.
If the game wants to make money, let them do it on reasonably-priced cosmetics.
