Is my psychiatrist incompetent?

Hey, during my recent visit to my psychiatrist I asked for a dose increase of my Ritalin from 5mg to 10mg as well as something to use as sleeping aid. I said that I use 25mg of OTC Diphenhydramine on nights where I have university the next day (3 in a week since I don't go to lectures). I suggested she prescribes me Hydroxyzine as OTC sleeping aids are pretty costly, she said that she has a better idea and prescribed 25mg of Seroquel. Now, as someone who knows what it is, I asked whether it's not gonna make me feel lethargic on the next day, she said it should be fine after 8 hours. I didn't want to argue so I agreed. The issue is, every time I've taken it, the following day would be a disaster. For instance, I studied with my friends on a discord call while being on 15mg of my Ritalin and needless to say I understood most concepts. I then took the Seroquel and went to sleep, upon waking up I felt extremely lethargic and so I took 10mg Ritalin in hope it'll wake me up. I waited 45 minutes, and nothing. I somehow managed to eat breakfast and leave the house. 30 minutes before the test I took 30mg of Ritalin since this test meant a lot for me and I felt like a zombie. During the test, I still didn't feel anything. I couldn't focus, and I had zero motivation to even do the test. I ended up getting below passing grade while most of my friends passed, it made me feel horrible. Despite all of this I would take this medication since I've got a lot of trouble falling asleep. I feel like because of this I flunked many of my tests, this is causing me paralyzing anxiety and in addition I got sick, which makes my cognition even worse.

TLDR: My psychiatrist prescribed me Seroquel as a sleeping aid which made me unable to focus, apathetic and unmotivated, despite me asking to be prescribed antihistamine
