Initial Set up

Anycubic kobra 2 Neo

Just wondering how much set up is involved with one of these. I realise there will be some assembly needed but as far as from opening the box to actually pressing go and 3D printing something how easy is it and how long would that take. Main reason I'm asking is in getting in for my 12 year old boy for Christmas and was wondering would it be easy enough to set up with him Christmas morning or would i need to set it up a few days before? Is it just sort of plug and play? Is a laptop necessary to use as my current laptop has seen better days. Many thanks for help.
