Is Elven accuracy actually good?

I know that Elven accuracy is incredible once you have advantage, but I can see it being as useful unless you have consistent advantage. Like yes you could get help for someone or a familiar but familiars could easily die. Sorry if I am missing something. Thank you for any info!

Edit: I am playing a wood half elf bladesinger. Just wondering since it seems like my familiar could easily die due to AoE damage.
