Anyone else visibly aged after extreme stress?
In 2019 a series of tough events occured - family issues, lost my boyfriend, hated my roommate, bad job, etc. Finally it came to a head and I went into my first depressive state. My emotions were deeply and intensely sad. After three months of this, I got medication that helped me. In less than a year, I aged five. My cheeks became saggy, eyes more sunken, my forehead kinda sunk in and my brows became asymmetrical , and my pores became larger. Then COVID hit. People always thought I was at least five years younger than I am. Now at 43, I look my age and I’m kinda sad about it. Anyway, wondering if others have seen visible changes in a short span due to lots of stress. I’m mourning who I used to be :(.
EDIT: I mention COVID only for context. But my story is specifically related to the stress from my depression.
UPDATE: I’m in awe of the resilience in these stories. I did not expect this response. Thanks for being so honest.
