I'm tired of people thinking I'm a scammer trying to make them download a plug-in inside a raid when I genuinely just want to teach raids to random people I come across
In 416, I always take 0 kc's and never shy away from taking people who are learning.
But as soon as you're out of the raid area and you're at a place like the grand exchange and seeing someone type "I really want to go learn TOB or TOA but I have no-one to go with" I usually chime in and ask them if they would like to go with me and I'll teach them everything.
As soon as they look me up on the hiscores they just think I'm some kind of bought account
You know those blorva maxed infernal people with a sote pet randomly logging in at the grand exchange striking up a conversation with you just to befriend you? I'm not one of those, yet I'm associated with them.
I guess this post is more of a rant than anything. I'd like to be able to be given the benefit of the doubt and allow me to prove there are good people in the game. Wanting to introduce people to raiding because I think is fun.
Lastly I had a guy say "You're obviously experienced and have so many experienced friends, why would you like to help a noob like me?". To that I reply, what's wrong with wanting to help people?
EDIT: people in the comment section ask what plug-in I'm asking them to use. I don't ask anyone to use anything when I strike up a conversation with them. The post is about people feeling like I'm a scammer just due to the fact that I walked up to them and offered my help to learn raids.
I do have to say that the only plug-in issue I have is when I recommend Party Plug-in AFTER they accept going with me, which makes me feel awkward but all the Runelite plug-ins are approved by Jagex and within game rules, however not many people know that (Rarely have an issue with it, most of the people I asked downloaded it because it's on Runelite and not a third party client). This post is NOT about the party plug-in. It's about the first impressions of me.
